Resident Agreement Assisted Living

In some countries, the institution`s staff identifies potential and actual risks to residents. Residents or family members do not establish risk agreements. Negotiated risk agreements, initiated solely by the institution, occur after staff report a resident`s risky behaviour. If the resident agrees to stop the behavior, there is no formal written NRA. TIP: You must also be sure that the contract will cover refunds or adjustments that will be made when the assisted housing changes ownership or is closed. You must insist that your contract contain a statement about the date of repayment or adjustment of your invoice. The Assisted Housing Agreement allows both parties to understand the types of care and services of the assisted housing facility. TIP: ADL assistance can be an important part of your contract and you need to know what ADL activities are included in your monthly care fee and what the additional costs are. Often, there is an additional fee for a category of activities called IADLs (instrumental activities of daily living), which allow you to buy food and personal items or handle money, take your memories, medications, and help you exercise. A Negotiated Risk Agreement (NRA) is not an agreement on the hosting of assisted housing, although it is (sometimes) included in the performance assessment as an instrument.
